Oleg Veklenko is a graphic/designer, professor of Graphic Design Department of Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts.Was born on August 17th, 1950. Graduated from Kharkiv Art-Industrial Institute (1967-1972) – now is Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. In 1972 he was invited to teach at the Academy. Professor (since 1993) and Head of Graphic Design Department (2000-2004) of KSADA. Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (since 2009). He lectured for the general public and professionals in many countries of Europe, China. Oleg Veklenko for three decades works and teaches on the topic of environment, in particular on radiation accidents, Chernobyl and Fukushima.He participated in the Chernobyl aftermath mitigation near the explored Chernobyl nuclear reactor in the first “hottest” two months of accident. Co-founder and President of “The 4th Block” International Eco Poster Triennial (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Posters and exhibitions from its collection were shown in the cities of USA, Great Britain, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, France, Poland, Denmark and other countries.
